Maria Elena- Our Warrior

My mom was first diagnosed with multiple myeloma November of 2016. And though the cancer changed her appearance it never changed her faith in God. She fought long and hard and kept positive for everyone around her always putting everyone first before herself. The faith she had in God kept her fearless against the painful struggle against her cancer. Her favorite bible verse says, “Do not fear (anything) For I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strength you, be assured I will help you.” And she lived by that verse everyday, repeating it until the last breath. My mother was a walking angel on earth with her radiant smile that would light up the room, her supportive attitude and how hopeful she was kept us going everyday. she was so beautiful, her kids and her grandchildren meant everything to her, she was an amazing grandmother, mother, friend, daughter and sister. heaven took our angel, we put her in God’s hands and we know she’s not in pain anymore.
