64 Hour Film Festival: Team #4

64 Hour Film Festival is an annual fundraiser that benefits the LACHSA Cinematic Arts department. The money raised here goes towards our department's equipment,  teaching staff, film festivals, and field trips. We are so fortunate to be in an immersive film program at our age, and these funds are necessary in order for the future of film to thrive.

The 64 hour festival involves writing, shooting and editing a film all in one weekend! Each team chooses a genre at random and every team is assigned elements to use as creatively as possible. The students form teams and fundraise for the cinematic arts department up until the shooting weekend.

Frequently asked questions:

1) Why are you dressed like that in your photo?
Every team chooses a theme and team name! We are the Abbington Golf Club, an English golf club of our own creation. The teams often go all out to execute their theme in a creative and comical way with costumes and photo shoots.

2) Does the money go to the production of your 64 film?
No; the money is used to fund our department as a whole, but if you have locations that we could use to shoot at 64 weekend, please contact us! We have no idea where we will have to shoot and the more resources we have the better.

3) When is the 64 Hour Film Festival?
The festival is September 27th at LACHSA. You can purchase the tickets on lachsa.net. Don't forget to put the Abbington Golf Club as the team you are supporting! Raising the most money in funds and tickets results in advantages during 64 weekend.

4) Who is on your team?
We are all sophomores in the cinematic arts department at LACHSA. The members are Airis Garcia, Vivian Wolfson, Jesse Gillingham, Jane Dever, Cole ER, Pilot Lee, and Miles McCrudden.

5) What is Fund Arts Now?
Fund Arts Now is a parent driven 501(c)3 supporting the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). LACHSA is the west coast "Fame" school. For more than 25 years, this very special public arts high school has served talented teens from more than 80 school districts.
