Barbara Barlow Needs Your Help



For those of you who don’t know me or my family, My name is Laura. I’m writing on behalf of my sisters’ Desarae and Nicole and of my Mom- Barbara Barlow.
My mom needs your help.
In June of this year, our mom was diagnosed with Liver Cancer -Hepatocellular carcinoma. We thought she could fight and tackle this disease head on. Mom’s always been a fighter! Toughest chick I’ve ever known.. I bet for all of you who know her, you are saying the same thing. Unfortunately- She hasn’t even had an opportunity, to give this a fighting chance! Her tumors are so large and her Liver is too far damaged, for her to be eligible for a Liver transplant. The cancer is spreading and her Doctors say there isn’t much more that can be done. She can have chemo to help shrink the largest tumor. This will be for comfort measures only. Shrinking the tumor, will help keep the fluid from building up so quickly and help keep her a little more comfortable. She’s in a great deal of pain, from all the swelling. The cancer has really put a toll on her body. Her doctors have given her just months to live.
Mom is asking for help with cost, to cover her final resting place. As usual, she’s only concerned about her children and burdening us with expenses. Anyone who is reading this, knows the type of person my mom is. She’s selfless and will give you the shirt off her back, the last dollar she has, a warm plate of home cooked food to eat, a place to stay...I could go on and on, basically the woman is an angel. She’d do anything for you and give you anything... except her lipstick - that’s just gross, plus, she’s the only one who can rock that fire red lip stick shade. Ha ha.
Mom is on a very low fixed income, with very little to spare each month, and does not have any savings. What she does have, will be going toward chemo treatments. Our mom raised us as a single mother, most of our lives. She’s always done whatever it took, to provide for us. She taught us to always do for others, in any way possible. Now is the time to reach out and ask our family and friends near and far, to please help her. We don’t want her spend her last months, in fear and anxiousness about funds. No one should have to worry about that, in a devastating time, such as this. Please consider donating. Any amount possible. If you cannot donate, feel free to share this on your social media.
As I type this out, I can’t help but feel desperate in reaching out and asking for help. But I know it’s necessary. We need any help and support that is offered.
