Hi:) my name is Leah and this is my sweet one year old American bully Athena. She’s my best friend , and my family the only one I really have with me everyday. Her favorite thing in the entire world is to run and chase after her ball in a big open field , she loves playing fetch, running around with her friends , everything but most importantly snuggle. Until one day she started limping severely bad after playing ball . A few weeks later , me being a naive pet owner , we went to the vet and she was diagnosed with a torn cranial cruciate ligament after multiple X-rays. Her ligament has completely severed off and her knee is unstable with nothing supporting it but her bone which is causing nerve damage now and will lead to arthritis if not resolved. She needs this surgery for her to stop being in pain and to walk normally again. The surgery alone will cost near $5000.. that is without costs of the 16 week recovery process. Anyone you ask that knows me knows this dog is my life , I would put my life on the line for her , but unfortunately I do not have the funds as quick as she needs them.
