My dad recently passed away in a tragic accident. This loss has been devastating for our family. We are not okay, but we are doing our best to stay strong. It still doesn’t feel real, and maybe that disbelief is protecting us in some way as we try to get through each day. Dad wasn’t a perfect father, but he was a good man with a big heart who did so much for others throughout his life. One of his final wishes was to be buried where he was born, in Mexico, and it would mean everything to us to honor that wish. As we grieve, we are also facing the unexpected financial responsibility of helping with funeral, memorial, and international burial expenses. The total cost will be a little over $12,000. Thanks to the incredible love and support from family and friends, $10,000 has already been raised. We are now only $2,500 short, which means we are more than halfway there.
