⭐️ PLEASE READ UPDATES ⭐️
Kaiden is my nephew and is coming up for his 12th Birthday. He is one of the most amazing, caring & resilient boys you will ever come across.
When Kaiden was around 4.5 years old, he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma (which is a form of bone cancer). Unexpectedly, this developed in his soft tissue in his right shoulder. Despite being such a young age, Kaiden battled through his chemotherapy, his operations to remove and then eventually he travelled to Oklahoma to have Proton Beam Therapy as well as chemotherapy. He beat this awful disease, we were ecstatic.
He was ‘in remission’ and cancer free for nearly 7 years! Although the 7 years haven’t been worry free, they had been cancer free. Kaiden has constantly struggled with the side effects of chemotherapy.
Fast forward 7 years, his mum and dad and rest of the family have been given the devastating news that his cancer has returned in his pelvis and also his chest. We can’t believe it, the doctors can’t believe it. We are all beyond devastated, we’re ruined.
At this very moment in time, we are still waiting on Kaiden having his biopsy to determine exactly what type of cancer has developed but the doctors have said they expect it to be Ewing’s Sarcoma again, and again it has developed in the soft tissue. We cannot believe this and are truly baffled as to why, after 7 years it’s come back.
The doctors have told Kaiden’s mum and dad that there is treatment they will give, but that there is a slim chance of survival but their aim is to always cure him but obviously are so baffled as to why it’s returned so understandably nothing is a given. We are all at the moment, praying so hard that he will have this treatment and will baffle doctors once again and it will work.
The aim of of this page is to have something in place in case his treatment here in the UK doesn’t work, we need to be able to send him to a different country for different treatment, which the NHS can’t fund so we need to be able to do this privately. We need him well, there is no other option. At this very moment in time, we are researching all the various different doctors that have been recommended to us and as soon as we know who and where would be the best to treat him I will update this page.
So I am begging each and everyone of you that come across this page to please donate if you can whether it be £1 or £10. If your not in a position to donate then that’s fine, but please share this far & wide and if you have the time have a think about maybe doing some fundraising for Kaiden - a cake sale/Coffee morning/ tombolas - absolutely anything, we would be forever grateful. We are unsure as of yet as to how much we need to raise but from going on others experience we imagine to be hundreds of thousands but again I will update the page as soon as we know
If anyone needs to know more or wants to contact me with any ideas, then please do. My email is [email redacted].uk.
Kaiden is the centre of our world, he has so much love around him and we can’t contemplate anything happening to him. He has two beautiful, brave brothers that need him.
Any money raised here, that isn’t used (in the event that his treatment here in the UK works which are praying with all our strength it does!) will be kept for any future treatment that’s needed or passed on to another family in the UK with a child that’s in need.
Thank you for reading this far and please, help if you can xx
