St Silouan St Sophrony church and youth centre

With the blessing of our Holy Monastery of Machairas this fundraiser is set up and is aimed at raising money for the building of Saint Silouan and Saint Sophrony orthodox church and youth centre in Nicosia, Cyprus.

 

The Holy Stavropegic Monastery of Machairas is historically and traditionally known to take on board apostolic work. It has now taken on the creation of a spiritual centre for the youth and students, dedicated to Saint Silouan and Saint Sophrony in Aglantzia, Nicosia Cyprus. The centre will be made up of conference room, a church and a library, and will be made available for use by the youth in general. For this purpose after many years the Monastery of Machairas has managed to rent long term goverment land, close to the university of Cyprus. By the prayers of our holy fathers Saint Silouan the Athonite and Saint Sophrony of England, work is due to begin soon.We humbly ask that you please spread the word.
