As many of you know, our boy Brendan Reid was involved in a terrible accident last night, and he is currently receiving excellent care from a dedicated team of doctors at Kingston General Hospital.

I have received numerous inquiries today about how to support Sarah and the family during this challenging time. Despite her wishes for privacy, I believe it’s important to create a space for everyone who wants to help.

Brendan needs his Mom & family by his side as he navigates this difficult journey. Being away from home, away from work, brings many expenses, and I want us all to join together to alleviate some of that financial burden.

At this moment, there are many uncertainties regarding what lies ahead. It’s truly a day-by-day process, and with our collective love, prayers, and support, I know he will get through this.

Hockey community, friends, and family, let’s join together to ensure that Sarah & the family can focus solely on his recovery without additional stress.

My heart is broken for my best friend and her son, who also means the world to me.
