Hi, my name is Ellie, and I've decided to set up this fundraiser to help my family support our very sick dog, Flora.

We met Flora as a rescue, and from the moment we saw her, we knew she was part of our family. We absolutely fell in love with her, and everyone who meets her falls in love too. She really is a special little dog, and we wouldn't know what to do without her.

Unfortunately, these last couple of months, my 4 year old girl, Flora, has been suffering from severe pain in her lower abdomen and has been rushed to weekly veterinary appointments concerning her health. She's been inundated with scans and blood tests and dosed with strong medication in an attempt to ease her discomfort. It's been a struggle to identify the problem. Initially, they thought it was something to do with her gallbladder, but after weeks of antibiotics, she wasn't getting better, so we sought out urgent care. They discovered that the issue lay in her mid-back, caused by a slipped disc in her spine. We decided to proceed with an MRI scan to determine exactly how severe the damage was, and unfortunately, we received some difficult news that resulted in emergency surgery. Flora has currently been staying at the vet's over the last couple of days, and we haven't yet been able to visit her whilst she is in recovery, but we've heard good news that the surgery went well, but it was rather tricky for them.

We never thought we'd be in this position, and poor Flora doesn't deserve any of this. We've done everything we can to help Flora, and we're now reaching out for any support that can be given while she’s in recovery.
