Jerry Strong
Do you have a brother? Do you have a husband or a father or a son or maybe a friend? Can you imagine the devastation of learning your loved one has a progressive bone marrow cancer and the only possible chance of saving his life is a very expensive bone marrow transplant? Can you imagine spending the last year witnessing his unbearable and excruciating pain? It took an unfortunately long time to get an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Finally, we have a direction. Jerry is fighting for a life saving stem cell transplant which will take place six hours from his home at the University of Virginia. A transplant is his ONLY hope for survival and it needs to happen very soon. He will have to stay near the hospital for minimally three months post transplant and is making several prolonged stays prior to the transplant. This all requires both rent AND money for his current mortgage. In addition there are hotels and numerous other expenses including medical expenses that are not covered by insurance. And all of this while not employed due to the illness.
Jerry has been there for a lot of people through the years. He has been an inspiration to many. Before cancer, he was an athlete, a body builder and a green juicer. He has been health conscious and did everything to be healthy for his family. He is only 55 years old, still has a child in high school and a lot of life left to live. He needs a chance and this battle is and will continue to be a hard one. Can you please consider donating so that lack of money does not have to be a factor in this fight? Our situation could not be more urgent. From our family to yours…Anything you can do would be so appreciated. Thank you so much.
