Hey! I'm Avery (they/them), and I'm getting top surgery this May 2026! I'm so excited to be taking this huge step in my journey as a non-binary / transmasculine individual. I've been fortunate enough to be in my last year of a graduate program whose health insurance does cover gender-affirming surgery. The money raised by this fundraiser will go toward my deductible for the procedure itself (approximately $3000), as well as recovery, groceries, and rent as I take off the month afterwards to recover.

I've wanted this procedure ever since I can remember and have spent the past year taking all the steps to make it happen. As a graduate student in the arts (theatrical scenic design, to be specific), my income and savings are currently minimal and I need all the help I can get to make this dream a reality.
