Service Dog For Shell

My name is Eryn-Michelle and I just turned 21. I am attending college to earn my bachelor’s degree in psychology. To help pay for school I work at a center which helps children with Autism. I love my job and am so excited about my future possibilities in working with these amazing kids.Unfortunately, I was recently taken to the ER for mental health issues and was placed in an intensive outpatient program to help me through a difficult episode of anxiety and depression. My mental health team has determined I would benefit greatly from an accredited psychiatric service dog, trained to help me deescalate during panic attacks, feel safe when I am alone, and several other helpful skills.My parents are supporting me as best they can but true, highly trained, service dogs cost upwards of $20,000 and most are closer to $30,000. Many organizations require you to have the fees before they will even put you on their wait list for a dog, which means it can take months to years to receive these much needed animals.One organization may have a dog available for me sooner if I can manage to raise the money and so I am asking for your help. The current dog is $20,000.Your help will mean I can continue my schooling and work with a powerful aide to help me manage a condition which can strike at any moment and leave me painfully unable to function.
