My name is LisaI and I am 57 years old, in January of this year (2025) my life was dramatically changed and completely turned upside down when I discovered that my husband had been having an affair for the past 5–6 years. As a result of this betrayal I instantly made the decision to divorce him. Now, I’m in the deeply devastating position of potentially losing my home — the only way I can stay is by buying out his share, which would cost around £100,000. None of this situation is my fault, and it feels incredibly unfair and unjust, To discover the betrayal and then be put in a position where i’m fighting just to keep my home, is a massive emotional and financial burden to bear and one i shouldn’t have to face, however, I am determined not to give up my home, safety or my future, even though i feel broken and exhausted the fight within me is very strong.
