Xavier’s GoFundMe

Hi friends, my name is Rebekah and I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes of raising money to cover my son’s application and transportation fees to one of the most prestigious private schools in our area.

Xavier is my eldest of five children. He is a wonderful big brother, a caring friend, a role model, a star student, and simply an awesome human! He is a scholar and a go-getter. Xavier cares very much about his future and is constantly seeking new ways to learn. This year already, he has won 3rd place in a science fair competition in Chicago and placed excellently in a piano competition where he attends lessons locally. Xavier is on his way to the 7th grade! He is a motivated young man and hopes to attend a four-year college when he graduates high school.

Xavier has an opportunity to attend a very well-known and prestigious private school in our area. Because we live in a failing school district, and where our family falls financially, he qualifies for a full choice voucher, which would cover his tuition entirely. This is a wonderful blessing provided by our state and we would only be responsible for the application fee, which is $1500 and due before the end of May.

However, my husband and I both work full-time to keep our family-owned restaurant and home life afloat. Bills are still overwhelming. We do not have the extra funds in such a short time frame.

Also, to ensure his academic success once accepted, we are needing help to cover Xavier’s transportation cost, so that he would be picked up for school every morning, ensuring that he is punctual and on time. This would be so helpful as the school Xavier will attend is located almost 30 mins away and the current school of his siblings has the same start time.

There are only a few spots left in his grade and we are on the list; however, everything needs to be in place before we can move forward.
