My sister, Jennifer, was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, November 30th, after the doctors found a 10-centimeter tumor on her spine. After a biopsy, our worst fears were confirmed when she was diagnosed with cancer (B-cell acute lymphoblastic lymphoma). To add more to the equation, Jennifer is six months pregnant with her first child.

After being admitted for five days at the hospital, Jennifer has been transferred to the oncology ward at OU where she will undergo at least one month of inpatient chemotherapy. We are filled with comfort as this particular type of cancer has been caught in time to be both treatable and curable.

Once this is over, both Jennifer and baby will live long, fulfilling lives. However, the journey ahead is long and strenuous. I have set up this Go Fund Me in an effort to help alleviate the financial stress that will come along with numerous medical bills, not to mention the expenses of having a newborn in just a few short months.

I will be staying in Oklahoma to support Jennifer and her incredible husband, David, who has been with her in the hospital day and night. Any support to ease their financial burden surrounding this nightmare would help in more ways than we could count.
