Help us keep our home!

So here it is. The last ditch effort. The thing I hate doing more than anything in the world. Begging for money.

A couple months ago, the company I was working for folded and left me without work... Or severance. Thus far, my attempts to find gainful employment have been less than fruitful. Now the funds are running out and we won't have enough to cover rent or bills. 

Why $6,000? Finding a job in my particular technical field has proved to be far more difficult than I had imagined. I'm hoping to find something soon, but just in case that doesn't happen *soon*, I'd like to be sure we still have a home to live in.
