Hi my name is Ashley Ross, I'm a single mother of 2 kids and on January 23, 2024 a trip to the ER would change my life FOREVER. I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Heart Failure and now I'm currently in the hospital awaiting transfer to Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. I have no idea when I'll be able to go back to work to provide for my kids. A lot of people have been asking how they can help and this is one of the ways that can help me to provide for my kids while I'm in the hospital. No donation is to small or big; ANYTHING will help. Since about almost 2 weeks ago I was airlifted from Advent Health Palm Coast to Shands Hospital in Gainesville Fl, where I’m currently in ICU. Last Wednesday I had surgery and now I’m on a form of life support called ECMO. What is ECMO? ECMO is a therapy used to treat people with life-threatening heart and lung failure. ECMO involves the use a machine to replace some of the functions of a patient's lungs or heart, or both simultaneously. While ECMO therapy can be life-saving, it is not itself a treatment. I am currently on the heart transplant list but my family and myself recently found out that after receiving my new heart transplant that myself and one of my family members will have to stay in Gainesville, Florida for 2 months. So I need more financial help with paying for the Extended Stay Hotel, the rent at my own apartment, gas, food, and other expenses while we will be staying here for the additional months.
