I was recently diagnosed with colon cancer -- totally operable and should be under control soon (surgery Sept. 4); however, I spent five days in the hospital for diagnosis, plus dozens of tests and then the surgery with another two or three days in the hospital.

My work insurance is pretty good, but I still have about $6,000 in hospital bills. I'll also be out of work for several weeks and lose probably several thousand in income, depending on how recovery goes.

I hate asking for help as most of you know.
