In 2013 Kim decided to have her first mammogram. She was 37, way younger then  required. Kim was not surprised when she  called back for a re check, as she has breast cancer in her family. After the recheck, they sent her to an office and told her to wait  for the radiologist.  The doctor told Kim that they wanted to biopsy a spot on her left breast.  The biopsy was done and Kim amd her family got the report. Yup cancer. The next few weeks seemed to fly.  Appointment, second opinions, AND tons of questions. December of  2013 she had a double mastectomy and started reconstruction.  During Christmas, with a smile on her face, Kim started the first of her six rounds of Chemo. By summer of 2014 she was starting to feel like herself again.  Her beautiful red hair began to grow back. As Kim started to get back to her life after her cancer fight she went through a divorce.

Kim has spent the last few years building her new life as a single Mom to her beautiful daughters, Ashlee (14) and Madison (12).

July of this year, as she was approaching her fifth anniversary of remission, she decided to visit her oncologist after weeks of sudden onset, excruciating, back pain. Bone scans, CT scans and lots of blood draws later, Kim is once again diagnosed with breast cancer. Now it is in her spine and has weakened one of her thoracic vertebrae, literally crushing the bone. After weeks of more doctors appointments it was determined that there is no cure. With treatment of chemo, radiation and oral drugs it will help with her symptoms and slow the growth of cancer. Kim’s going to fight like she always does. She fights for her girls, her family and her friends. Any donation, no matter the size would be a blessing from God as Kim is unable to work during this difficult time. All donations would go to medical expenses, gas to get her to and from the doctors appointments, treatments and basic financial needs. Please consider helping give Kim and her girls the gift of more time together. Please also pray for them and their friends and family. Thank you for showing Kim such amazing support.
