Noah O’brien

My nephew, Noah, was badly injured last Wednesday, August 22nd, while at school. His injuries were so severe it required a 5.5 hour surgery, several permanent plates in his jaw to try and recorrect the multiple fractures and lacerations, 6 nights in the hospital and up to 8 weeks of having his mouth wired shut. Because of the extent of the injuries, medical care and investments in equipment needed for home, and nutritional items that are necessary for his wired jaw diet, the next couple of months will be demanding. These reasons coupled with the fact his mother will need to be his primary caregiver and forced to take a leave of absence from her job, will mean the financial burden will be more than heavy.

Paula’s single income is what the two live off of and as you can imagine, will be strained with the increased medical costs and the time she needs to take away from work and care for Noah.
