Our amazing friend, MJ Haylestrom recently suffered a debilitating medical episode. A severe bilateral subarachnoid hemorrhage is a condition which involves bleeding in the brain. Being inoperable is a mixed blessing as this leaves her body and medications to complete whatever healing is possible without the invasive intervention.
Thanks to the outpouring of love prayers and support she is now out of the Intensive Care Unit and recovering at a friends home in Peterborough. The road to recovery will be long and arduous. The stress and strain on MJ and her amazing daughters Sahara, Nafshiya and Chaiora has been beyond belief. But the struggle has just begun. As we hope and pray for a 100% recovery the reality is that it does not come without costs ... emotional, physical, financial ... a few of the immediate concerns are lost income, home care, assistive devices, meal preparation, relocation, transportation etc; and many of which are longer term concerns as well.
So many wonderful friends, family and congregants have asked if there is anything that can be done to help. Respectfully, if there is any way you can be of financial assistance, it is gratefully received with heartfelt thanks!
