This year, on the 10th of May, it will be Ingo's 60th Birthday.

Inspired by family member's receiving something similar, Ingo's asked for a Giant Sequoia tree to be planted for his birthday.

What's a Giant Sequoia? They're the world's largest trees and fastest-growing conifers. They can grow up to 300ft tall and live over 3000 years!

Each Giant Sequoia planted can capture more CO2 than the average UK lifetime produces. Ingo wants to offset his life's carbon emissions and more.

The Great Reserve is an organisation planting and protecting Sequoia groves across the UK as an effective way to capture carbon and promote biodiversity. You can read more about the project here .

This is a Big Tree for a Big Birthday: let's make it happen!

The Great Reserve only has two planting weekends annually so we hope to go to Wales to plant his tree on the 15th March, in advance of his birthday. This means we have very limited time to raise the money!

We'd love to grow this tree together as a collaboration of his close friends and family. Ingo keeps his circle small and special, so we really appreciate any help you're able to give to make this happen.
