“Hal and Alice’s Gang” -
Alice and Hal (Mom and Dad) did a great job with everything in life. Look at all those hands with so many loving messages from the heart! Every one of us can attest to Momsy’s amazing involvement in our lives: births, baptisms, birthdays, weddings, graduations and holidays since Dad’s passing. We’ve all been witnesses to her endless unconditional love!
Like so many, they planned WELL for retirement. But I’m not sure either of them expected to live 90+ years! Their great planning carried them through until just recently. With Momsy’s increased expenses, medical bills and need for care 24/7 the “household at 60 Augusta Lane” has been facing monthly shortages. Just imagine what we would be paying for her care if we did not have Karen with her (add $60,000-$72,000 more per year).
Our collective thoughts and efforts are needed to address the monthly shortage (@$1000), the credit card debt (over $14,000), and some stipend for Karen. Charlie already carries the mortgage and some other monthly expenses (@$3000 per month). Others of you are called upon from time to time when needed to help with expenses.
Our thought is simple- help if you can. Help when you can. We will have an ongoing Gofundme page where donations can be anonymous (or not). The funds collected will address monthly shortages, some stipend for Karen and chip away at the credit cards.
