Todo comenzó con una visita médica que parecía ser una simple hernia en la ingle. Sin embargo, tras una serie de exámenes que incluyeron la revisión de riñones y vejiga, los médicos encontraron una masa sospechosa en la vejiga por lo cual me realizaron una biopsia y días después recibí una llamada que jamás olvidaré:

Tenía cáncer de vejiga en etapa 2.

Esta noticia fue un golpe devastador, pero lo que vino después fue aún más difícil. Nuevos estudios revelaron que el cáncer también había llegado a mi médula. Esto complicó gravemente mi diagnóstico y redujo drásticamente mis posibilidades de recuperación ya que es tan avanzado que se estima que tengo 6 meses de vida.

Hoy, me encuentro a las puertas de una cirugía para retirar la masa en la vejiga. Esta operación es esencial para mejorar mi calidad de vida durante el tiempo que estimaron los médicos. Sin embargo, el proceso no termina allí:

@ El tiempo mínimo de recuperación será de 8 semanas, siempre que la masa no esté demasiado profunda en el músculo.

@ Mis recursos económicos y físicos se han visto profundamente afectados.

@ Y lo más importante: mi familia me necesita, especialmente mis pequeños.

No es fácil para mí pedir ayuda, pero hoy recurro a ustedes con humildad.

La lucha contra el cáncer es dura, no solo en lo físico y emocional, sino también en lo económico. Cualquier aporte, grande o pequeño significará un paso más hacia mi recuperación y un rayo de esperanza para mi familia.

It all started with a medical visit that seemed to be for a simple inguinal hernia.

However, after a series of tests, including an examination of my kidneys and bladder, the doctors discovered a suspicious mass in my bladder. A biopsy was performed, and a few days later I received a call I will never forget:

I had stage 2 bladder cancer.

This news was devastating, but what came next was even harder. Further tests revealed that the cancer had also reached my bone marrow. This seriously worsened my diagnosis and drastically reduced my chances of recovery, as it is so advanced that doctors estimate I have six months to live.

Today, I am facing surgery to remove the mass from my bladder. This operation is essential to improve my quality of life during the time doctors have estimated I have left. However, the process doesn’t end there:

* The minimum recovery time will be 8 weeks, assuming the mass is not too deep within the muscle.

* My physical and financial resources have been deeply affected.

* And most importantly: my family needs me, especially my little ones.

It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but today I turn to you with humility.

The fight against cancer is hard—not just physically and emotionally, but also financially. Any contribution, big or small, will mean one more step toward my recovery and a ray of hope for my family.
