I’m on my way to take on the Marathon des Sables Legendary — a 275km ultramarathon across the Sahara Desert over six stages, carrying all my own equipment in extreme heat. It’s widely considered one of the toughest endurance challenges in the world.
I’ve been involved with horses for as long as I can remember. When I was 10 years old, I joined The Horse Rangers Association — and it ended up shaping far more of my life than I ever expected.
What began as learning to ride horses became the place where I grew up. It’s where I built confidence, learned responsibility, made lifelong friendships, and even met my wife. From age 10 to 18, it gave me a sense of belonging and direction that has stayed with me ever since.
Today, Horse Rangers supports more than 250 children and young people every week. Through hands-on experiences with horses, they help develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and life skills — especially for young people who may not otherwise have access to these opportunities.
I’m doing this to give something back to the organisation and the horses that gave me so much.
Horses, and especially Horse Rangers, changed my life. With your support, it can continue changing the lives of hundreds of young people every year.
Thank you for helping make that possible.
