What We are Doing
We are collecting donations to buy 6 Field Kitchens for Ukraine. With your support, our Ukrainian friends can feed up to 200 people at a time per kitchen, meaning that thousands of people per day will be provided with desperately needed hot meals.
Why Ukraine Needs Field Kitchens
There is urgent need in Ukraine to feed civilians due to the breakdown of electricity, supply chains, heating, and other basic services. Our field kitchens can be fuelled with diesel, coal or firewood, so they are very versatile even in places where fuel is scarce. The 6 field kitchens we are buying have been fully refurbished and completely overhauled. We will then retrofit these so they can be pulled by a car instead of a truck, so they can be more easily transported to the people who need them most.
When This is Happening
The wheels are already in motion. We are picking up the field kitchens this week. We will deliver them to Ukraine on Easter Weekend (April 15th–18th).
After we unload the vans, we will use the space to bring refugees to Germany on the drive back.

Who We Are
Our team of about 20 volunteers is located in the Hunsrück region of Germany, about an hour from Frankfurt. Over the past weeks, we have built a network of local aid organizations, churches, and tireless individuals. Together, we have delivered several trucks of food, medical supplies, and other urgently needed goods into Ukraine. Our biggest success story so far was sourcing and delivering two 50kW heavy-duty generators, which are being used to power hospitals and refugee centers.
Who Your Donation is Going to
The supplies go directly into Ukraine through Lviv or Chernivtsi, where it is handed over to our trusted partners in Ukraine. We have partnered with the Ukrainian Red Cross, city administrations, and churches to make sure that the aid is forwarded to where it is most urgently needed.
Over the past weeks, we have made friendships with many refugees who we have welcomed into our homes, and we have personally met our local contacts in Ukraine. Through this, we built trust with our partners in Ukraine, who are absolutely dedicated to helping their people survive this. This is a unique opportunity to maximize the good we can do with your donations.
What Your Money Will be Used for
Your donation will be used to:
- Buy the used field kitchens from the vendor in Germany.
- Retrofitting the field kitchens so they can be pulled on a regular car hitch instead of a truck hitch (we are building trailers for this here).
- Have the trailers inspected and registered in Germany.
- Handling of export documentation.
- Hitch up the field kitchens to our minivans, fill the vans up with food, and drive them into Ukraine.
Other than the fee that GoFundMe takes, 100% of all donations will be used for Ukrainian aid. No administration or overhead will be collected by us – travel expenses, for example, to Ukraine are paid for by the volunteers themselves.
If the Funding Goal is Exceeded
We can buy more field kitchens and more food to stock them.
Our Ukrainian partners also have urgent need for ambulances and firetrucks, but this would require a lot more money. We are already in discussions to buy these, though, in the hopes that there will be further funding at a later stage.
