On Thursday, January 14th, after driving from her home in a suburb outside of Chicago, to Jacksonville, FL, Lauren was at the airport, preparing to fly back home, when she had what is thought to have been an seizure. She was taken to a nearby hospital where it was discovered that she has COVID and a CAT scan of the brain discovered a stroke event that may have occurred a couple of days prior. She is still undergoing tests, including an MRI of her brain and we are awaiting more on her condition/diagnosis. She (and we, as her family) so appreciate all the prayers, thoughts, and well-wishes that she has received, as well as offers of help. We know that we serve a healing God and we're continuing to bring her before the throne, knowing that God's plan and purpose is perfect. We're asking that you 1.) continue to pray for Lauren's healing and state of mind, as she is now on a restricted COVID floor and we cannot see or visit with her and she is lonely, sore, and tired and 2.) give, if you are able. Lauren doesn't have health insurance and tends to just pay out of pocket for her medical care, but with all the tests, procedures, and medical transport to a different hospital for the best care, her hospital bills are going to be a lot more than she is going to be able to handle. We know that a lot of people are struggling right now and don't take it lightly that you may choose to give a little or a lot. Every little bit will help and we all thank you in advance, from the bottoms of our hearts.
