Marie Marcath Cancer Journey

Donation protected
As many of you may or may not know, here's Marie's cancer journey.   Marie is a 10 year breast cancer survivor.  At that time, she went through the chemotherapy, radiation treatments, etc. enduring a  stressful and financially difficult time.  With the grace of God she survived.

This spring Marie became very ill.  She had 4 different infections in her all at the same time.  It was then the doctor discovered she had Pancreatic Cancer.  As you can imagine, it was a devastating diagnosis.  The good news was it was discovered early!  She then started the cancer battle, again, with aggressive chemotherapy and radiation to attack this cancer and shrink the tumor.  Everything looked good, her tumor was responding to the treatment; to the point she became a candidate for the "Whipple" surgery procedure.   She went into this surgery with high hopes.  During the surgery, the doctors had to stop because they could not safely remove the tumor.  She was told they could only try to keep the tumor small, but eventually, her body can only take so much chemo and radiation treatments.

Marie is only 54.  She is very involved in her church and community and is blessed with wonderful family and friends who have said many prayers for her in her time of need.  She's expecting her first grandchild this spring and her youngest son will be getting married.   I believe these prayers helped lead her to a doctor, who in turn, referred her to a doctor that is out of state, but is only one of three in the world that feels he can safely remove the tumor.  Marie has hope again!  This is where we need your help.  Marie and her husband will need to travel and be out of state for at least 4 - 6 weeks for the surgery and recovery time.  The other problem is that because it is out of state, the doctors fees, hospital costs and everything needed is all out of her insurance network.  She will be responsible for 40% of all medical costs in addition to the expenses she has already been trying to pay from her surgery earlier this year.   Marie's surgery will take place in January.  These funds will be used to help cover the travel and medical costs incurred.

Knowing the difficulty at this time for Marie and her family, and as people have asked how they can help, this is where we are asking for your help.  If you could find it in your heart to give any donation, it would be appreciated more than you could imagine.  We love her so much, she is a wonderful person and we would be so thankful if you could help her too.  Please consider this ever helpful donation for Marie.  Thank you.
