For the past 10 years I have had the pleasure of having a friendship with one of the most caring and loyal women I have ever known. Her name is Amanda Lee Demers, and she has been there for me for many ups and downs, as well as countless others. She is an exemplary friend, sister, daughter, wife, step mother, and soon to be mother to a brand new baby girl Rosalie. 

When Amanda and her husband Jacob Demers found out that they would be having a baby they were overjoyed with hapiness.  When they found out that they would be having a baby girl, they were so happy! Shortly after finding out the baby's gender, the doctor called with some unsettling news regarding the pregnancy. Unfortunatley, there was a rupture in the placenta, which caused a loss of the amniotic fluid.  Amanda was then placed on strict bed rest, and had to be seen by a specialist. At only 24 weeks pregnant Amanda was rushed to the hospital one evening, and the doctors determined she would need to be medically evacuated to one of the best maternity hospitals in the country Winnie Palmer in Orlando. The doctors had originally set a goal of 34 weeks, however there have been a series of complications, such as being full previa which is creating a great risk for her and her daughter Rosalie. The doctors are now just going day by day.

During this most difficult time, Amanda and Jacob are struggling with asking for help, but the time has come for us to step in and show our support! With Amanda being in the hospital, there family is down an income, and the bills are piling up. Her husband is home working and can only see her on his days off, he is doing the best he can to make ends meet and be strong for his wife. Please help take some of the burden off of their shoulders!
