Support Solomon And The McMillan Fam

The McMillan family has been an integral part of the Asheville community for some time. Don, having been born and raised in Asheville and falling in love and starting a family with Cindy. They have invested so much time, energy, and love into creating Asheville to be the place we all wish it can be. Cindy has been a force in community organizing in the past few years, from being in the core of Mother to Mother in Pisgah View Apartments, to being a founding member of SistasCaring4Sistas. SC4S is dedicated to giving doula services to women in the Asheville community that would not normally be able to afford the emotional support through childbirth that is so necessary. Cindy has recently decided to take her love for supporting women in childbirth even further and just enrolled in school to begin her journey to becoming a Midwife. Don had recently started coaching Malachi's football team and had started an organization to support father's in the community. Don contributed so much to the community, as manys barber, friend, pet whisperer, and so much more. Don was a father to many who loved him and who he shared dreams and passions with. He opened up his arms, his wallet, his home, and so much more to so many people. Cindy and Don's youngest, Solomon was Don's left hand and was the waterboy for the team. Most recently after attending football practice, Don walked into a community planning meeting with young Solomon sleeping in his arms. This Friday, we lost the life of our beloved Don to a motorcycle accident. Don was the sole supporter of Cindy and their family including Solomon, Malachi, Joey, and Anita. While Cindy works tirelessly as a community organizer and in creating SC4S to be sustainable, it is not enough to cover all the costs of raising 4 children. Please consider donating to this GoFundMe so we can support the McMillans as they go through this very hard time to help cover funeral costs and to add to an educational fund for Solomon as it was Don's mission to support and love his son in his education and life.
