The Harris Family

Our dear friend, Doug Harris, is fighting the battle of his life. In October 2018, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer with spread to the liver. Current treatment consists of 52 hours of chemo therapy every other week. He has completed 11 rounds so far, however, oncology is projecting that he will need 26-39 rounds, or until he is unable to tolerate further treatment. 

Despite Doug's devastating diagnosis and the debilitating effects of his treatments, Doug has continued to work as much as he can. His devoted wife, Arlea, is also working as much as possible to help provide for Doug and their two teenaged children. As Doug continues his treatments he is finding it more and more difficult to carry on and still focus on his health. 

Doug was Medivaced to Seattle on March 29th with a blood clot in his jugular vein, as well as diverticulitis that is superimposed over the tumor. Both of these conditions are extremely painful, and are above and beyond what he is experiencing with the cancer and its treatment.
 
Assistance for Doug and his family will help defray debt and living expenses and allow him to focus more on his family and his health. Monetary donations will go far in helping this amazing family in their time of need.  They could also use Alaska Airline Miles to help with cost of travel out of Juneau.
