Lindsey has been severely anemic for over 12 years and must get blood transfusions at least 4 times each year, however, insurance has begun denying her treatment that keeps her alive. Her Ferritin is now below a 2 and all of her other blood related labs have come back in critical, life threatening levels. When doctors read her labs, they cannot believe she is able to even walk, and especially work over 60 hours each week on top of being a mother and spouse. She is a true fighter and pushes on day after day with severe exhaustion, fainting and chest pain. She is also now looking at having to get a feeding tube placed as she is not absorbing other necessary nutrients. Not only is this a huge emotional decision for her, it will also cause even larger medical bills that we cannot pay. As if she doesn't suffer enough with anemia and malnourishment, she also has osteoarthritis (the reason she had to have both hips replaced at 36 years old), fibromyalgia, constantly fractured toes and feet (another symptom of not absorbing nutrients) and rheumatoid arthritis. Every single day is a battle for her just to do what so many of us take for granted but I have never heard her complain. I have, however, heard her heaving sobs while holding her weak body and telling me, "my body is failing me and I am not ready." She has lost 100 pounds in 7 months. She never indicates anything is wrong to anyone and never posts about it on social media as she feels her problems are miniscule in comparison to others' because that's just who she is. I've never known anyone more compassionate, emphatic and willing to help a stranger in a moment's notice than Lindsey. She always sacrifices her own doctor's appointments and even food to make sure our children always have what they need and more. With no family members to help and a lack of insurance to cover her medical bills, I am begging for your help. I know for a fact that if Lindsey thought anyone needed the same assistance to get the medical care she so desperately needs, she would be the first in line to start a donation page for them.

Lindsey now needs her own miracle. She has suffered from chronic illnesses without treatment for far too long and is the last person who would ask a soul to help her, financially or otherwise. I am posting this without her knowing, though I know she will soon enough. It breaks my heart to see her suffer every single day and I feel helpless that I cannot provide the tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills all that her body needs and will need going forward. She is so selfless that she cannot even fathom someone wanting to help her and I would give anything to prove her wrong.
