Hi. My name is Chris and I have a friend in crisis. I'll be as brief as I can but please consider helping when I am done.

She is 57 years old and single. After taking care of her parents full-time until they passed, she has worked at a number of jobs all of which have taken a toll on her physical & mental health.

Earlier this year, she finally decided to have a long-overdue knee replacement. It gave her hope that after she recovered, she would be able to work more and with less pain.

That didn't happen. The extreme pain she felt coming out of the surgery did not get better. She was hospitalized with sepsis, had to endure a second painful surgery, all of which delayed her getting the critical physical therapy needed after a joint replacement.

After that there was a disastrous stay in a rehab, from which she had to call 9-1-1 due to a overworked, and at times, neglectful staff to get help.

In the meantime, she managed to get some help with her pets from her church. But what was discovered was that her electricity had been turned off and her house was suffering from long-deferred maintenance. In short, she can't go home, at least not yet. She needs more time to heal.

Fortunately, a friend was able to take her in for about 2 weeks so she could start to heal. She has a couple of family members who are securing her lodging for about 2 weeks. But it seems that will tap them out.

We need to get her electricity back on! And we need to get a few repairs done so she can go back home! That is why I am asking for your compassion and generosity to, literally, get back on her feet.
