I’m Lester Morrow, a farmer and school teacher from the small town of Plum Grove, Texas who you probably know as the guy who ‘ugly cried’ on a viral video after he returned to his farm to find the devastation left behind by Hurricane Harvey.  But even in loss, so much has since been gained.

From Tragedy to Triumph!

With the outpouring of worldwide support and a number of faithful followers, all intrigued and interested in my farm rebuild and animal recovery efforts,  an idea was born.  We have taken the blessings that came from the storm and have found a way to ‘pay it forward”.  We have created a non-profit animal sanctuary, a place where other animals affected by the floodwaters of Harvey, can come and be rehabilitated, nurtured, given necessary care and above all else, loved.  They can live out their days with fellow survivors, creating bonds and once again finding peace and happiness.

This is a dream I’ve always had, and I am so appreciative of the new-found friends who also came to my rescue and brought with them the know-how to set up and organize such endeavors.

Taking on this project is something I would of done with or without outside help, but I have learned from experience that sometimes it is as much a blessing to GIVE as it is to RECEIVE.  In saying so, if you too share a love and compassion for animals who have suffered and if you are in a position to give in supplies, feed, hay, time on property, or monetarily, EVERYTHING is welcome!  And even if you can’t give with material possessions, I still encourage you to follow, share, comment, ask questions and come be a part of this amazing journey.
