Help Jim Produce Where's God When...

My new show Where's God When ... touches on the question all humans ask in the face of suffering- Where's God When... there's no happy ending? my husband left me ? I didn't get the job promotion? the cancer won? I prayed and there was silence?
Paul Young wrote The Shack to express his experience with loss. As of today over 18 million copies of The Shack have sold, making it one of The Top 100 most popular books in history. Paul has received over 100,000 emails from people who read The Shack and long for someone to listen to their story.
Where's God When... puts Paul live on stage to extend the conversation he started in The Shack to a wider audience but this time it's not fiction.
Audiences will sit with Paul as he recounts things that were stolen from him as a missionary kid growing up in Dutch New Guinea, things he broke as a husband, and things he surrendered as a man illustrating how the scars of his most painful losses have healed into beauty marks.
I need your help to get this production across the finish line.
Being a Producer may sound "sexy" but its pretty much like being a General Contractor. You collect resources (human, technical and creative), link them together in an entertaining way and invite people to enjoy the show.
Just like there are many hidden costs when you build a house such as blueprints, plumbing, wiring and foundation work, the same is true when you produce a live stage show. I need to hire writers, branding experts, web designers, pay for travel, equipment rentals, marketing and local labor. That's what the $15K covers - all the start up stuff.
Between January and May of 2014 we will be presenting the show in several large churches. Our first show is in Spokane Washington on January 24th at Eastpoint Church. Once we complete this pilot series we will begin planning a national tour.
Thankfully we're almost halfway there.
A group of friends and patrons we've already raised $6500. Here's how you can help us reach our goal by January 24th
