A Family Struck By Cancer

Family and friends:

I'm asking you to please donate to help my friend, Linda, care for her husband and daughter, both diagnosed with cancer. Linda moved to North Carolina from NY with her husband at the beginning of the pandemic. Shortly thereafter, Mark was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. Linda has been alone, taking care of Mark while working a new job, supporting both of them. Her new employer has been so flexible and accommodating but she does not get paid on the days she doesn't work. Then, earlier this year, her daughter, Danielle, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer (Dani is on the far right, holding her son Arlo). Danielle is mom to two beautiful toddlers. Linda hasn't been able to be with Danielle in VA as much as she would like because she is the sole caretaker of Mark. But Dani was just hospitalized and diagnosed with leptomeningeal disease. Linda flew up immediately to be with her.

I can't imagine the extraordinary heartbreak of having both your husband and daughter diagnosed with cancer. I'm asking you to help ease the financial stress for both Linda and Danielle. In addition to the basics, there are the fringe costs of treatment. Linda can't support herself and Mark if she's not working regularly. It's an absolute tragedy.
