Help Me Get Gender-Affirming Surgery!
Wassup everyone! My name is Chicahua Zipactonal Martínez (they/she), and I’m a Trans Non-Binary artist fundraising for breast augmentation surgery—because it’s time to get my boobies!!!
A Little About Me
For those who don’t know me, I’m an award-winning Performing Artist, Writer (Screen, Stage, etc.), Creator, and Photographer. I hold an MFA in Contemporary Theater and Performance from The New School and a BFA in Performing Arts from AMDA (NYC & LA).
Since I was a kid, I knew I was queer. But growing up, I struggled with body insecurities, identity, and self-acceptance. In 2021, I fully embraced being Non-Binary and rejected the idea that my anatomy should define who I am. I started HRT in 2022, aligning my body with my truth—and it has been life-saving. This journey has allowed me to step fully into myself, but one major step remains: gender-affirming surgery.
Why Now?
With anti-trans laws increasing, access to gender-affirming care is becoming more difficult. I’ve been able to secure my HRT and update my legal documents, but before more barriers arise, I want to complete this important step in my transition.
Unfortunately, my insurance won’t cover any costs, so I’m fundraising to make this surgery happen. Asking for help isn’t something I normally do, but this is a life-changing moment for me, and I’m reaching out to the community to make this goal a reality!
Where Will Your Donations Go?
• $10,000 ensures I can afford aftercare, groceries, bills, follow-up appointments, and essential recovery supplies.
• $7,000 covers the surgery itself (implants, anesthesia, and surgical costs).
Every Contribution Adds Up!
Even small donations move us closer to the goal. Here’s how we can make it happen together:
• If 280 people donate $25, we’ll hit the goal.
• If 140 people donate $50, we’ll hit the goal.
• If 70 people donate $100, we’ll hit the goal.
Even if you can’t donate at these levels, $5, $10, or $15 still makes a huge difference! Every dollar brings me closer to feeling at home in my body.
How You Can Help
• Donate if you’re able—every bit counts!
• Share this fundraiser with friends, family, and on social media. Spreading the word helps so much!
• Support in any way you can—love and encouragement mean the world!
This surgery is more than cosmetic; it’s about aligning my body with who I am and living fully in my truth.
Let’s build a future where trans joy and gender-affirming care are supported.
Thank you for being part of my journey!
