Support for Larry After Traumatic Spinal Cord Injury

On February 26, 2025, Stewart Manor resident, Larry Marquino, devoted husband, father of four, and beloved friend suffered a catastrophic fall while skiing resulting in a serious spinal cord injury at the C6-7 level. This incident has left him facing paralysis and an uncertain road to recovery that will include an intense battle for mobility and independence.

As Larry navigates the complex journey of medical treatments, rehabilitation, and therapy, we are reaching out to the community for support for both him and his family. The road ahead is long and challenging, but with your help, we can provide the necessary resources for specialized care, adaptive equipment, house modifications, and a wheelchair accessible van with the goal of Larry regaining as much independence as possible.
