Tuition For Senior Year of College
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cozette Johnson; I am a senior Cinema Media Arts major at Biola University. These past few years, I have enjoyed my time at Biola, despite it being online for my sophomore year. But one of the biggest struggles I have had is the finances. Only by God's grace have I been able to go to Biola. Throughout the past few years, my family has had to pull out $50,000 in loans for me to get an education. Because of COVID, my family had to shut down one of our primary sources of income- their nutrition store.
My parents have a personal training studio that has also lost a lot of clients due to COVID, so they have to pay for the studio's rent through their own pockets. My mom has been working over 40 hours a week doing delivery services to make ends meet and take care of my three younger siblings and me.
For the past two years, I have had to live off campus to go to Biola, but I have had to take it upon myself to pay rent each month. This past school year, I have had to work 20-32 hours a week at Walmart to pay rent on top of taking 16 credits worth of classes. With financial aid, I owe $11,000 for the whole school year, (I owe half of that by August 17th) so any donation, whether one dollar or five dollars, would be greatly appreciated.
