Terry (Therese Nugent-Pece) was diagnosed with Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma (in the lining of her blood vessels) on June 26, 2015. Terry’s Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma occurs in 1 in 1,000,000 people.
When Terry was first diagnosed and started chemotherapy, she was new to her job and was forced to take a leave of absence without pay or benefits. Terry endured 3 outpatient rounds of chemo therapy then moved to a more aggressive chemo for an additional 3 while hospitalized.
The next stage of Terry’s treatment will be a stem cell transplant in January 2016 at the UH Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Terry is also a single mother of 3 children. Terry’s oldest daughter has a rare neurological disorder and her son is Autistic. Terry’s youngest daughter is currently a full time college student.
To help alleviate stress for Terry with financial burdens of every day expenses (rent, utilities, food and expenses for her children) we are reaching out to our community for help.
Please share this with family and friends and help us make this a less stressful situation for Terry and her family during this holiday season.
