Marsh's-Hit & Run Surgeries & Necrosis Bills

Hi, my name is Katharine David-Park.

Our family was born and raised in Los Angeles. We have four wonderful children. Our eldest is an elementary school teacher, and our others are currently attending LMU on scholarships.

We are trying to raise money for our dog, Marsh, the baby of our family. Marsh was critically injured in a hit and run. My husband was taking Marsh for a walk on a leash when a car sped through a stop sign and turned left into them. Thankfully my husband was not directly hit and sustained minor injuries when jumping out of the way. Unfortunately, he could not pull Marsh out of harm's way entirely. The car ran over Marsh and kept driving.

Marsh has been in the hospital since Friday night, August 26. So far, Marsh has undergone one surgery to clean the severely damaged skin around his belly. The wound specialist believes this is only the first of multiple surgeries. In addition, Marsh will need to undergo orthopedic surgery to set his hip, so eventually, he will be able to walk again. The doctors and nurses have been excellent in his 24-hour/day treatment. They said this will be a long, painful, and expensive process, but eventually, we will have our baby, Marsh, back.

We adopted Marsh from a shelter when he was only 8 months old, along with his sister Riley who was almost 2. Marsh is the sweetest dog that loves cuddles and loves to give kisses. Marsh brings smiles to everyone who meets him. He is our emotional support dog.
