Rico’s Girls

Two years ago our Rico was diagnosed with stage four Colon Cancer and a year ago it metastasized into bone cancer. He fought a good fight for two long years. Lived everyday in positivity, and with great courage. His cancer was terminal, but he didn’t let that break him. He taught his family to be strong, brave, and to have faith through his life. He gave us hope. Not only was he the strongest person we knew, but he made us stronger in the process. August 7th was a devastating day, it was bittersweet. To know that our Rico is no longer suffering in pain gives us peace, but his departure from this earth will never be easy. Rico worked hard to take care of his family and keep them happy. Now that he is watching over us, we are asking our friends and family to help us during our time of grievance. His wife and his girls have been with him every step of the way, holding him up. And although asking for helps seems askew, we know that our loved ones are more than willing to help hold Rico’s Girls up while they re-adjust to life without him.
