The Giving Tree Project: 2022

Christmas is not only about “getting” but also “giving.”

The season of giving is a celebrated tradition in NoMa. For the past five years, Wunder Garten in NoMa has sponsored The Giving Tree Project DC, which donates monies from the sale of trees at its seasonal Christmas tree lot managed by Sherman Gardens to the local non-profit homeless outreach organization, the h3 Project. In 2022, The Giving Tree Project welcomed new partners and expanded to launch a GoFundMe campaign to enable more people to participate. Thanks to the community’s generosity, the Giving Tree Project DC raised a total of $50,000 in 2021 for the h3 Project. This support enabled the h3 Project to assist clients transition to housing and purchase everyday household essentials and personal items needed to make a house a home.

In 2022, SEOULSPICE, has joined The Giving Tree Project DC. During the months of November and December 2022, SEOULSPICE will donate $5 from their specialty "Heart and Seoul" bowls sold at its six (6) locations throughout the DMV to The Giving Tree Project DC.

Based on last year’s success, The Giving Tree Project in 2022 is seeking to raise $25,000 through GoFundMe to match an additional $50,000 in funding by January 15, 2023.
