I've heard that the worst things happen to the best people, and when I see Dominic, I realize that it must be true.
Dominic is always the friend that you call when you need a hand. He's ready and willing to help anyone with anything without hesitation. I don't know anyone who is as selfless, determined, and compassionate. You wouldn't believe all the challenges he's faced in his life.
He's already survived and lost more than most people ever have to live through. At 23 years of age, shortly before the holidays, he was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. He started chemotherapy the day after Christmas. He had months of very aggressive chemo and medications. This would be a challenge for anyone, but he said that he's grateful it happened to him instead of someone else. That's the kind of person he is– Unbelievably kind and strong with the biggest heart you've ever seen.
He is a former missionary and still very involved in his church. He served in the U.S. Army and is studying to become a physical therapist so he can continually help others. He hopes to get married and adopt many children.
He was unable to work during treatments and couldn't help support his family (of 6), pay for medical expenses, or pay for his schooling. Bills are still piling up and this is even more of a burden on his family. It is draining- physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. It is unjust and unreasonable that he should have to endure any more burdens. He would never ask for a hand-out, but right now he needs a hand. I don't know of anyone more deserving. Anything you can contribute to help pay for his medical expenses would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless!
