Abigail Savage Osteosarcoma- updated

Donation protected
It’s been quite some time since anything has been posted or any donations have been given to our other go fund me. So I thought instead of continuing with the other one I would start a completely new one as a lot has happened since then. I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on January 25th. My leg had been at such a intense pain with no way for relief. For a while I treated it with around 20 warm baths a night and throughout the day. my thigh had started to swell and i knew something was incredibly wrong. Boy was I right. Around a week later I visited Seattle childrens hospital to get all of this confirmed and also get a biopsy. Our last appointment of seattle was a consult with an oncologist and the surgeon. We were told I have a pretty large and aggressive tumor and that it had spread to my lungs. This broke my family’s heart and scared me to death. I had no idea what the future would hold for me but I knew it would be the difficult think I would ever have to endure. Thank god we were able to get accepted into St.Jude bc i’m not sure if I would be alive if we didn’t. They provide us with great medical care for free and help out with some of our travel. We would probably be at least half a million dollars in debt or more. After some of the worst, most powerful chemo drugs and staying in the hospital constantly for treatment or the 10 hour surgery I got to replace almost my entire leg with metal. They help out so much and we are so grateful but I can’t tell you that its easy at all. My mother is still paying all of her bills in Montana and also trying to be able to feed us and put dinner on the plate so it’s very difficult. She is trying her best but she can only work when she’s not constantly taking me to the hospital, so it’s difficult to get those hours in. I have gotten through most of this and the end is in sight. I only have five chemos left and the surgery they with have to do on my lungs. Soon after that I should be back in Missoula. I’m still on my journey with physical therapy and trying to learn how to walk again but i’ve made lots of progress with it and I know i’m getting close. We would really appreciate any donation that you would be able to make, the stress of money doesn’t make this any easier
