I really didn’t wanna do this, but due to the government shutdown, my family and I have suffered significantly. I’ve been a government contractor for over 25 years. This is the first time a shutdown has impacted my ability to work. We live in the DC area, have helped others when we can and just need enough to get us caught up.

In addition, my husband’s job has cut his hours and, because I’m a contractor, I will not get back pay. We are at risk of losing our apartment, our car, and quite frankly, I’m on the brink of a breakdown.

The money will be used to help us catch up on our rent, car payment, insurance, food, etc.

I know the government reopened, but again I will NOT receive back pay. I thought I could hold off my creditors until I started getting regular paychecks again but they are relentless. Anything you can help with is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
