Dear friends and family, this gofund me was created to help the Espinoza family offset the costs of medical care and travel. If you don't already know, Nacho was diagnosed with Acute T cell lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia.
Since May, Nacho has received 7 rounds of intense chemo requiring him to to be hospitalized each time so he can be monitored and observed. The chemo appears to be working. His first PET scan showed that the tumor was reduced to about 6 cm in size after one month of treatment. Last week his CT scan showed only scar tissue and no cancer. While this is fantastic news, his cancer is likely to return due to its type and severity.
Because Nacho is young and healthy, he is a great candidate for a stem cell transplant. The Stem Cell Transplant will help keep him strong while undergoing extremely strong chemo and radiation. It also may assist in keeping him in remission, because he will receive donated stem cells, which should be able to attack any remaining cancerous cells.
Nacho will have his stem cell transplant November 10th and will be hospitalized for a month. Nacho and Caitlin will then need to be close to the hospital for 100 days in Portland while their children will be staying in Kansas during the majority of that time with their grandparents.
Nacho, his wife Caitlin and their two children Gabriel and Adalia have been faced with the unimaginable. Nacho is a dedicated employee at Crestline Construction and Caitlin is a loved teacher at St. Marys Academy. Anyone who knows this family knows that if they were ever in need, Caitlin and Nacho would be the first one there to help in anyway they could.
If you could donate even just a few dollars towards this family, it would help and would be much appreciated.
