Injured jockey and friend Pedro Terrero

Donation protected
Racing peeps, here is the announced GoFundMe for Pedro
Who was injured while race riding at Golden Gate.
Pedro is the embodiment of the American Dream. He started on the track as a groom, worked on his riding skills, and became a jockey.
Sadly during his mount's move, the horses clipped heels, and Pedro's horse went down. The harness on his helmet broke, and his mount struck his skull while trying desperately to get up. He suffered severe head trauma, was rushed to the hospital where they decided to do a CAT scan every 6 hours. After only two hours had passed, he started bleeding from his nose and ears. This necessitated another CAT scan, and a three hour operation to relieve the brain bleed. The doctors reported half the brain was covered in blood. At this time he has a tube inserted in his brain, and the left side of his face is paralyzed. There is no prognosis yet, but anyone on the track knows what brain injuries mean to a rider.
Several of Pedro's family members are part of the racing community. His two brothers-in-law outride and pony at Golden Gate.
Pedro has a family counting on him to provide for them. He has wife Miriam and three  young boys 3, 7 and 11.
Pedro is a guild member well liked in his racing community. He was never one of the mega-million dollar winners, just one of the unsung pillars of the sport.
Please do the best you can for someone who has paid his dues, showed up and gave his best. Time for all of us to do the same.
