Donation protected
On July 17, 2020 the Hicks family lost their Husband, Dad, Son, Brother and Uncle to suicide. Justin Hicks is a very well Decorated Veteran he had multiple honors including the Purple Heart.. Justin was Medically Discharged in 2017 after serving his country for 12 years survived 3 tours. Out side of the Military he had a family that he loved. He's servived by his wife Jessica and 3 young children ages 11yrs, 2yrs and 4 months. Even though his family was the best thing that could have ever happened to him and it was everything that he ever wanted. Justin suffered from PTSD, anxiety and depression. His family fought through it with him side by side. Just like anybody else there was good days and bad days. Justin loved building and working on engines and working with his hands. He was a master in the kitchen. Justin loved spending his evenings time with his kids and wife. The VA is only going to help with a small portion of the expenses. The family has to pay for everything in advance and then then the VA will decided how much they will help with. Jessica maiden name Hottman has grown up around here most of her life. She moved back to be near family and a great community that she loved as a kid. She is the daughter of Gary Hottman. Jessica is trying to raise 2 young small kids. She will be taking a block leave from work to try and get through the hard times. I am setting this page up to ask for help from family, friends and the community to help with funeral expenses. We are trying to raise 10,000 for funeral and memorial costs. Thank you for your support and help. Every little bit helps we will get this family through it.
