Kelly’s road to recovery

Hello, thank you for taking a moment to stop and read this post on behalf of my sister Kelly. Let me preface by saying she would never ask for this kind of help on her own, but just after thanksgiving she was diagnosed with the flu and wasn’t getting much relief or feeling any better so we went to the ER on December 1- she was admitted to the hospital in Carthage that night and was told she had pneumonia in both lungs, leaky heart valve and narrowing arteries. Her oxygen has continued to remain in the low 80s causing concern so as the days progressed her medical team made the decision to transfer her to St Joes in Syracuse to have a heart cath, and scope done. Her doctor today determined after her procedures and an additional ultra sound she will need a heart valve replacement surgery. We are still waiting on the scheduling of that but it is the only option. Kelly has been off work for about 3 weeks now and we are not sure when she will be able to get back to work even part time so if anyone can and wants to donate something to alleviate the stress of bills piling up she would be forever grateful. Kelly is not the type to ask for help, not sure if it’s pride or fear of feeling like a burden but she’s a single mom of 4 who gives to others with no questions asked when she sees someone in need, with no expectation or judgement. There are not many people in the world with a heart like my sister, and right now her big kind heart needs sometime to recover and heal so we are putting together a go fund me to be able to keep her bills current, and ideally ahead so she has sometime to be able to recover and get back to work slowly without burden- and to make sure her 4 amazing kids have everything they need as well.
